I'm Wes Ward. I keep to the quiet corners — and I'm genuinely happy here.

Not a man of many words — until something I care about comes up, and then I've got plenty to say. I'll take a long drive, a good anime, or a clear night over a crowded room, and I'm at my best one quiet conversation at a time.

Wes Ward

The longer version

Hi. I'm a homebody with a curious streak.

Hand me something with a screen or a circuit board and I'll happily lose an afternoon to it — tinkering with computers, working through a game at my own unhurried pace, or falling down a rabbit hole on some niche corner of tech. Anime and movies are my comfort zone, and there's almost always music running in the background of it all.

I'm deeply introverted, and I've made peace with it. I'm not big on small talk — but I'm a real listener, and when a conversation lands on something I'm into, the quiet guy loosens up. A drive with the right playlist, a low-key hangout, one good one-on-one: that's where I'm most myself. If we click, you get a loyal, low-drama, genuinely-listening kind of person.

Lately I've been nudging my own edges a little. I'm about a year into bouldering at the local gym, and slowly getting into astrophotography — so far the sky has handed me exactly one moon photo I'm proud of. I'm counting it.

What lights me up

A few of my favorite things.

🎧MusicRunning in the background of basically everything.
🎬Anime & MoviesMy comfort genre and, some weeks, my whole personality.
🎮Casual GamingNo sweat, no rank — just unwinding at my own pace.
🖥Tinkering with TechIf it has settings, I've probably changed all of them.
🚗Long DrivesMy favorite way to think. Or to not think at all.
🌙AstrophotographyOne good moon shot down. The rest of the sky to go.

Quietly proud of

A little proof I do stuff.

That one good moon photo

My first real astrophotography win. Beginner's luck, probably — taking the credit anyway.

Mechanically & technically inclined

Hand me something with moving parts or a circuit board and it just clicks — managers have noticed. I mostly listen, ask once to be sure I heard right, and run with it.

Showed up. Kept showing up. Got stronger. Quietly one of the things I'm proudest of.

A long trail of fixed, flashed, and fiddled-with machines. Worth it for the "you're a lifesaver" texts.

Say hello

I'm better here than at parties —
so feel free to say hi.

Slow to warm up, but worth the wait. Whether you're hiring, building something, or just think we'd get along — send a note. Low-pressure, text-shaped, no small talk required. And I'm far better with a plain “want to grab coffee?” than with hints — subtlety is lost on me, and I mean that as an invitation.
